Note: Just use the patch as it stands in the Instructions which is in the game and play it normally without any glitches ^^.

The game works perfectly in the beginning,but when you are going to the past the game for your first time then it doesnt work.Thats a pity V_V

anyone that posts here has downloaded a ROM. If you have then you are in the same boat as anyone else. Don't think you are doing square a favor by not downloading this. In all practicality...they are rich, will sell many a copy, and what we download won't even show up on their percentages. Simply put, its not hard to translate an old nintendo game to DS with a few modifications. With that mindset, who the hell cares? DS games are all overpriced and thats why I can justify downloading them.

First one is for R4/M3 Simply & clones
Second one is for M3 Real/Sakura (there are save issues which are still discussed in gbatemp.net.. try updating to latest firmware)
Third one was intended for CycloDS/EDGE and other flashcards that get a white screen when applying any other patch.

Instructions:
1. Unpack the patcher
2. Place rom in same directory as patcher
3. Rename rom to chrono.nds
4. Run the patch
5. Copy the generated chrono-patched.nds to your flashcard. Filesize should be ~84 megs. If you didn't pay attention to steps 2 and 3 though, it will be a 0 byte file...
6. Transfer & enjoy!

Will this ROM even work for a no$gba emulator, or am I gonna have to get a different one?
Also, if a prepatched version of the rom becomes available, this one should probably be replaced by it so people don't have to patch it themselves.

Not true, Publishers are loosing upto 50% of there money due to pirates. Thats why anti-piracy measures such as ones in CT are there. And yes... they are filthy rich still, but its a wave effect.
Publishers dont get as much money, there for there contracts to developers are way less, there for not as high quality games get produced because the dev houses cant afford as many stuff, there for, you put people like me, out of a job. Now my family cant have a merry christmas because of pricks like you who honestly dont give a damn.

in the xpa wirar stuf you will find a file called xpa watever inside one of them ( not the .nds files with the arrows) if it dont work then i dont know

well, i remember when the game came out and we all had to buy it for the snes, so yes we made them rich then, now they have millions of dollars, and you are out of a job not because of piracy my friend, but maybe for other reasons we do not know. I bought ChronoTrigger for SNES and PSX. I've also bought the officially licensed soundtrack. Certainly, I feel like I've paid my dues for this game, BUT I'll STILL buy it for DS because I love the game so much--one of my all time favorites. It was supposed to be in stores on the 24th, and Square/Enix even fucked that up.
However, with all that being said, I STILL want to be able to play it on my R4. I know some people use it only to pirate, but I use it mainly for convenience. It's incredibly convenient and safer to have ALL my favorite games on one cart, with the ability to back-up all the saves.
It's a shame publishers (and developers more so) are losing money over piracy, but this issue here is that people are always gonna pirate, and people are always gonna be looking for ways to patch it. Telling us to "just buy the game" doesn't make a solution to a problem. There are a thousands other factors involved--for example, since FFX-2 sucked, Square should refund our money, right? ;) Maybe Square owes this to some of us?

indeed you are. VISTA may suck, but guess what? There are plenty of Linux distributions out there that run much better, and they're free...and before you start whining about linux being too hard and geeky, keep in mind; your precious rock with a screen in it is currently running a version of linux.
Only difference is, I have a choice about what hardware goes in my machine, and which version of linux I'm running.

2) Instead, you paid for an overpriced paperweight - insert MAC product here

Linux, OS 10 and Windows (Vista/XP/ and the ones to come) all have pro's and con's. Macs are stylish (Both the OS and the Set), PC's are wide (Windows is used in almost every new PC that is OEM or custom built) and Linux is light and very customizable (I haven't seen an OS that could be as small as a few Megabytes, not considering the Assembly one, and do a good job for what it is).
The factories that assemble Apple products (The robotic parts of the assembly line) are controlled and monitored by PC that use Linux (and sometimes Win95/98, yes it is still being used).
Games are overpriced this days and blaming other people for the loss of your job is just plain dumb. Before choosing to become a PC developer, you had the chance to analyze the market and see what jobs are more demanded and what are less. Based on that you would select your study program and IF you where a very good programmer, you would surely not spend your time here writing comments, but rather sending your CV to every possible company.

I own a Mac, I have a PC and I have a linux box. I hate the quality of apple products but I like their neat OS, I love my Linux box as it is small, silent and stable for what I've set it and I use my PC for all the rest.
